EVENT | THE MAD FASHIONISTAS TEA PARTY WITH VIVIENNE WESTWOOD

The day is Thursday and I attend a fantastic little tea party at Vivienne Westwood's Manchester store down on Spring Gardens a fantastic little tea party it was indeed. The intent: to showcase their brand new Spring/Summer Red Label and MAN collections for 2014. There were cupcakes with the logo of the house, champagne, macaroons, and of course, iced lemon tea, which was served in the cutest little teacups and saucers (floral may I add, which is totally appropriate for this season of Summer).

The collection was beautiful, a mixture of florals, the classic tartan, browns & khakis, and of course classic tailoring mixed with the classic Vivienne Westwood signature logo: the orb (I literally had to hold back my credit card from buying the most beautiful bomber, so worth being in debt for). There were live models representing some of the pieces from the collection, which was so cool for us bloggers that don't get to attend a front-row seat at fashion week. The inspiration for this collection you might ask: comes from some of Vivienne Westwood's favorite artists including Gustave Courbet, who inspired the prints of florals and flowers for the Red Label collection where MAN was inspired by the British Empire and Indian Summers of oranges, reds and tartan prints.

Feel free to check out both the Red Label and MAN collections and as always, don't forget to comment below and let's be social:
