September 2013: Cover Story: Emma Watson

So there she was at the age of 11, cast in what was unknown to any of her fellow young wizards and wicthes, the film makers, the author or to anyone for that matter at the time, to become one of the biggest British film series in the history of cinema. Ten years later Emma Watson has become a wonderfully kind young woman, a fabulous actress and a hardcore fashionista.

Growing up watching Harry Potter is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life, and seeing three wonderful actors bring J.K Rowling's stories to life was a joy to watch. After ten years of seeing Emma Watson become the beautiful woman she is today I thought it only right to put her on the cover for September especially since she has become such a style icon and has such a a burning love and passion for fashion. She was just eleven years old when the series began, you could imagine how she would be feeling at her first red carpet event, like all the young actors, nervous, excited, wanting to make a good impression, but it seems like a lifetime away since she wore her cute little green outfit with matching green accessories in contrast to the beautiful Oscar De La Renta dress she wore to the premiere of the final conclusion to the series. In 2011 after the release and red carpet event of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part Two (even though everyone seems to be doing it now, Miley Cyrus, Charlize Theron) she did something which at the time rather controversial and went from being long haired Hermione, to cutting her lovely locks and revealing a more grown up and personalized style that was Emma. "They wouldn't let me cut my hair, so after we finished filming Harry Potter I got it all cut off, It felt so empowering to be able to do something so different".

Her style oozes trendy, young, cool and class, the kind of style that is so controversial and wide in range she could probably give Topshop a run for their money. I always get a little bit excited when I see on the cover of major fashion magazines. She's the kind of celebrity that comes across as though she'd be happy to wear and allow you to photograph pretty much any style, any trend or for that matter anything you put on her. I've seen her on them all, British Vogue, American Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, but my ultimate favourite was when I picked up a copy of British Vogue December 2011. Christmas, what a magical time of the year, and a magical cover. It glistened with gold, shiny gold and embraced a bold, brave new Emma, with the title 'Coming Of Age', perfection. It is quiet clear that Emma has a very promising career ahead of her, with the success of Harry Potter under her belt to boast about and a spotlight on her fashion moves, who knows, she could be the face of some very big British fashion houses, or even maybe a line of her own collaborated with Topshop or Urban Outfitters; now there's an exciting thought. There's no telling what the future may hold for this wonderful woman, but one thing for sure is that Emma's future is as bright as the spells her onscreen counterpart would cast in the halls of the wonderful and mysterious Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry.
